Dr. Monigo G. Saygbay-Hallie is a results-driven executive with extensive experience in human capital strategy, business transformation, and cultural integration across global and national brands. She is the former EVP & Chief People Officer at Denny’s Corporation, where she led human capital management for the Denny’s and Keke’s brands, driving culture harmonization, workforce optimization, and leadership development to enhance business performance, and closing a successful public to private transaction.
With over two decades of experience in multi-unit, Fortune 500, and private equity-backed organizations, Monigo has successfully led large-scale workforce transformations, reduced turnover, optimized talent strategies, and implemented enterprise-wide operational efficiencies. As Chief People Officer at Checkers & Rally’s, she spearheaded a cultural transformation that reduced frontline turnover by 5000 basis points and contributed $2 million in EBITDA improvement. Her leadership extends across various industries, including logistics (XPO), food service (Sysco), retail (JCPenney), and healthcare (DaVita Rx), where she has aligned human capital strategies with business objectives to drive growth.
Monigo brings strong board governance expertise, serving as President of the Boys & Girls Club of America, Collin County, HR Venture Advisor at SemperVirens Venture Capital, Vice Chair for the City of Frisco Housing & Social Services, and Board President for multiple nonprofit organizations, including Restoration Center and Lifting Individuals Through Education (LITE). Her governance experience spans nonprofit and private sector boards, where she provides strategic oversight in workforce strategy, CEO transition, executive compensation, and executive leadership succession.
With a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, an MBA in Information Technology, and extensive consulting experience, Monigo is adept at guiding CEOs and executive teams through transformational change, talent optimization, and enterprise-wide people strategies. She is certified in Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and Hogan Assessment Systems, bringing deep expertise in leadership development, governance, and organizational effectiveness.
